Dear Walt Disney community,

I hope each of you were able to have a restful and enjoyable time with the family during our recent Thanksgiving break.  It has been great seeing our students back in school and outside playing again.

We have a busy few weeks leading into Winter Break.

We’ve rescheduled the postponed Dragon Dash for Tuesday, December 4. So far, the weather looks clear for an outside day of running. The schedule for Fun Run Day will remain the same as before. Please click on the Sign-Up Genius for details and to sign up to help mark laps or hand out water. Even if you aren’t able to volunteer, you are welcome to come out and cheer on your student. Please make sure to sign in at the school front office whether you are visiting or volunteering.

And more great news: we have raised nearly $20,000 for our school! Thanks to everyone who has had a good time gathering pledges. You can enter any last-minute pledges in at through the week of the run. If you have any questions, feel free to contact DESEF Executive Vice President, Eric Pinkela. You can also talk to me or any of the Boosterthon staff.

Lastly, we are looking for parent feedback for the California Healthy Kids Survey. If you have about 10 minutes, please take the time to answer questions here. This survey assists us in coming up with goals and strategies in supporting the Health and Wellness of our students and families. The survey window closes this Friday, November 30.

Looking forward to a great few weeks ahead!  Stay healthy and safe!

Curtis Haar, Principal
